I didn't know what I wanted to share in an "About Me" section- as I am very reserved with my personal information- so I decided I'd answer all the questions you guys ask me in class. Now is the appropriate time...
1) Miss, what's your first name?
My first name is Michelle, but I think the principal would get mad at us if you call me that :)
Also, I've gotten accustomed to students just calling me "Miss, I need..." so I probably wouldn't answer to my real name anymore :/
2) So Miss, did you go to UCLA or USC?
I started UCLA when I was a freshie. Then I went back to get my teaching credential. When I later applied to a Master's program, I didn't get in initially. I had to appeal the decision, but by the time I convinced them they wanted me it was too late to start classes until the next year. I wanted to finish a Master's sooner, so I did what everybody does when they don't get into to UCLA- I went to University of Second Choice :p After getting straight As there, which was pretty easy considering the competition at a school with such low admission standards ;), I applied to another UCLA program. They were eager to have me. This time I'm getting a Master's degree and an administrative credential. This is part of the reason why I don't believe you when you use the excuse, "I didn't have time." I promise you that I am busier. It's all about prioritizing. I wouldn't have made it through this period in my life without that skill. Learn it soon, please.
I am soooooooo happy to be back at UCLA.
It just makes me feel smarter:)
BRUIN FOR LIFE!!!

3) Miss, where are you from?
I am from Santa Ana, CA. I was born there and I lived there most of my life until I moved to LA for college. I've been here most of the time since. I don't mind being from Santa Ana- it was a little easier for a kid to navigate than LA would've been- but I LOVE LA and don't think I'll ever want to leave.
